Join student re-enactors from Titusville High School portraying famed investigative journalist Ida M. Tarbell and her contemporaries from the Oil Boom as they serve three public teas at the historic Tarbell House this spring.
Owned by the non-profit Oil Region Alliance, managers of the Oil Region National Heritage Area, the Tarbell House is the fully renovated 1870 home of the Tarbell family at 324 East Main Street, Titusville and serves as a house museum and event space.
Guests are invited to interact one-on-one with the re-enactors and enjoy a delicious, three-course tea prepared by additional volunteer faculty and students from Titusville High School. Menu and decorations will vary each month.
The teas will be held Friday, March 28 and Friday, April 11, starting at 4 p.m., and Saturday, May 10, starting at 1 p.m. Each tea includes a guided house tour following the refreshments.
Reservations are required as space is limited. Please call the Oil Region Alliance at 814-677-3152 to make a reservation. The cost is $20 per person, and proceeds benefit the Tarbell House.
