Play - Doubt
Set in a Catholic school in the Bronx in 1964, Doubt: A Parable is a gripping drama that explores the complexities of morality, trust, and power. The story centers around Sister Aloysius Beauvier, a strict and unyielding principal, who suspects Father Flynn, a progressive and charismatic priest, of inappropriate behavior with one of the students. As Sister Aloysius pursues her suspicions, she engages in a tense battle of wills with Father Flynn, questioning the boundaries between certainty and doubt. The play deftly examines the fragility of truth and the courage it takes to challenge authority in the face of ambiguity. Winner of the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the Tony Award for Best Play, Doubt leaves audiences grappling with questions of faith, trust, and the elusive nature of justice.
